Moo to Ewe Farmed Animal Sanctuary

Story

Moo to Ewe Farmed Animal Sanctuary is a family-run refuge in the hinterland of the New South Wales Central Coast, established in 2018. It cares for more than 50 rescued animals, including cows, pigs, goats, sheep, alpacas, chickens and ducks, many of whom came from farming, neglect or emergencies such as floods.

Alongside its own residents, Moo to Ewe runs a free rehoming support programme, helping farmed animals who cannot stay at the sanctuary find permanent, non-commercial homes under adoption agreements. It does not support the breeding of farmed animals.

The sanctuary shares its residents’ stories through small guided tours and events, and its work has been recognised in the New South Wales Parliament.

Know a sanctuary we should feature?

World Sanctuaries is a growing directory of places providing refuge and lifelong care to animals. If you know a sanctuary that belongs here, we’d love to hear about it.
