Goodheart Farm Animal Sanctuary

United Kingdom300 animals

Story

Goodheart Farm Animal Sanctuary opened in 2017 on a 92-acre site near Kidderminster in Worcestershire, founded by David Walker and Dwynwen Jones. It is home to more than 300 rescued animals, including pigs, cows, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys and alpacas, and has a strict no-breeding policy.

Residents include Betty, a piglet found abandoned with her mother and siblings in woodland near Whitney-on-Wye, and Mindy, a sheep with a neurological condition who needs a specially prepared diet.

In 2020 Goodheart was verified by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries. Alongside its rescue work, it runs guided tours, school visits and an annual open day.
